But I hope you aren't using the same old, "oh they just won because of altitude excuse". Liga won because they are actually a good team now -- they have 4 Ecuadorian players who are veterans of a very successful 2006 world cup team, and their (argentine) coach is having them play some really nice football. And then you have clubs who are required to have their finances in order (German and French clubs, for example) but because of that, they can't compete in Europe. So now we have a Champions League final that is between Chelsea and United, two clubs that are up to their ears in debt.
