I saw Cuenca play Liga a few years ago in Cuenca, and it was a lot of fun, and yes, the fact that I enjoyed the city more then Quito has something to do with it.

ha...why cuenca? Small city, very pretty, but their team? It's Liga or Barcelona in Ecuador- they are the ones with any chance at the international level.

Podcasters-- I hope you talk about the insane games of the Copa Libertadores this past week. River/San Lorenzo was epic, and what America did in the Maracana won;t be forgotten soon. Hope to see Christian on for episode 23!

Result at home -- they did get that. But I hope you aren't using the same old, "oh they just won because of altitude excuse". Liga won because they are actually a good team now -- they have 4 Ecuadorian players who are veterans of a very successful 2006 world cup team, and their (argentine) coach is having them play some really nice football.

Either way, a great result for Liga. :)

If you remember me saying that, Ronald, then you should also remember that I said Quito would need a result at home if they had any chance of going through.

Even though i might be late, i dont have any questions. Just wanted to Know if Ian Rose could do me a Favor. Can he Remind Christian of What he said About Quito......then remind him again, then again, then again. Then remind him of What happened Yesterday ;).

Well, since it's about the ugly side of football -

What does Mr. Henderson think about clubs with massive debts that are constantly in the red, and yet thanks to the laws of their countries that allow that, some of them can fund huge signings with money they technically don't have (like Liverpool this season with Torres and Babel) and then hope that a foreign billionaire bails them out? And then you have clubs who are required to have their finances in order (German and French clubs, for example) but because of that, they can't compete in Europe. So now we have a Champions League final that is between Chelsea and United, two clubs that are up to their ears in debt. What does it mean for the Champions League if the system is one which awards irresponsible spending?

That was a long and complicated question. Sorry!

Is there one stat that he has discovered, that he just loves and sums up the game for him?
