Episode 12: Eduardo, Gazza and the Race for Spain

By: Ian Rose | February 27th, 2008

Six of one, half a dozen of the other, as they say, and here we are at Episode 12 of the Offside Podcast. This week, Anne Ramzy, Daryl Grove and Ryan Knapp join me to talk about the events of the week that was in world football. We discuss Gazza’s breakdown, Spurs’ Carling Cup win, and we ask the question on everyone’s mind this week: What to do with Martin Taylor. Ryan also gets us up to date on the rapidly tightening race for the La Liga title. Have a listen.

Next week, Christian returns to the lineup to talk about the latest round of the Argentinian Clausura and the Copa Libertadores.

Thanks for listening. As always, you can click here to go to our feed, then subscribe to the podcast using iTunes or any other similar program.

Podcast is getting better and better. Good discussion, the panel is taking shape.

(@Ian, Pete Rose bet on the Reds, not against them.)

Lucas – thanks, and yeah, whenever I make any statement about any sport other than football, it’s wrong. Always. Sorry about that, to you, Reds fans, and Charlie Hustle.

Oh you don’t have to apologize to Pete Rose, the guy is a schmuck of the highest order.

(ps, when you need a “go to” for gambling on sports, go for Shoeless Joe Jackson, who actually threw the World Series in 1919)
