Podcast Episode 8
By: Ian Rose | January 30th, 2008Hey kids. Welcome to the new blog for the Offside podcast. Now that we’ve hammered out the format of the show a bit more, and have a regular weekly schedule, we thought it was time to make this a proper podcast and give it its own blog. Along with having our own separate blog comes the ability to subscribe to our feed and get the podcast nice and fresh every time it comes out. We’ll miss our old place on the main Offside page, but I think this was the right move all around.
You can subscribe to our feed HERE.
On this week’s show, Daryl Grove talks about the latest African Cup of Nations news, Anne Ramzy is all over the FA Cup, and Ryan Knapp discusses the developing case of a blogger being sued for libel in Spain, as well as an overall look at the La Liga title race. I hope you enjoy the show, and please, leave us comments here or by email at podcast[at]theoffside[dot]com. Cheers.

Great! Can you/will you repost all previous episodes to this blog?

I think I’ll leave that up to a vote. In the comments, let me know if people would be interested in having the old episodes posted. I’ll also talk to our tech guys about the best way to do that. Thanks for bringing it up.

You could always just have a post with links to the old episodes, and then change the posting date of it so it’s before Episode 8, so it’s in chronological order.

Definitely archive old episodes. And get it on iTunes if possible.

That story about the Osasuna coach is seriously messed up. My mouth dropped open when I heard what he (allegedly) said. Great podcast this week, probably the most enjoyable yet.
(ps, glad you put the podcast – or whatever we’ll call it – in its own blog, but it’s not yet accessible from the menu at the top of front page)

Yeah, Lucas, it seems increasingly likely that it is true, and if it is, he’s going to be in trouble all over Spain. We have submitted the podcast to iTunes, but who knows how long it will take to actually be listed. You can subscribe through iTunes (on the feed), but it’s not listed yet. Working on a link for the front page. Thanks for the comments, everybody.

If anyone wants to follow what Jesus says, you can visit his website at
It’s all in Spanish though, but I’ll still be putting updates up as the story progresses.
